part time Wood working teacher for 2015-16

 

The Susquehanna Waldorf School in Marietta, PA is seeking a part-time Wood Working teacher for the 2015-16 school year, and beyond. This position will be responsible for delivering mulitple wood working classes per week to fifth through seventh graders. An ideal candidate would have an overall knowledge of the wood working curriculum for grades 5-8, have substantial work experience in woodworking, and with a range of simple to complex tools, and have storng interpersonal and classroom skills.

SWS, at present, serves Parent Child through Grade Seven (in 2015-16). Our Specialy classes include: Music, Orchestra, Spanish, Mandarin, Handwork, Woodwork and Eurythmy in blocks. Our vibrant community offers opportunity for Anthroposophical study, parent education and seasonal festivals and fairs.

The position covers Grades One through Seven. Each grade receives Spanish instruction two days per week.

The Susquehanna Waldorf School in Marietta, PA is seeking a First Grade teacher for the 2015-2016 school year.

The ideal candidate will have Waldorf Training and experience. Consideration will be given to teachers already in a training cycle. Musical and artistic abilities are an asset. A deep commitment to Waldorf principles; love of working with children, enthusiasm, good interpersonal/communication skills, the willingness to cultivate effective parent-teacher communication/ education and the ability to participate in an active community life are essential.
